In his first season at third base, Young batted .322 with 22 home runs and 68 RBI in 135 games. His .322 batting average was fifth highest in the American League.
Despite not joining the starting rotation until April 25, Feldman tied for fourth in the American League in wins and had the league’s seventh-highest winning percentage (.680)

Eric Nadel - Play-By-Play
2009 marks Eric Nadel's 31st season as part of Texas Rangers broadcasting and his 14th as the lead radio voice for the Texas Rangers Radio Network. Eric was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. and attended Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, where he earned a bachelor's degree in political science.
Before beginning his tenure with the Rangers in 1979, Eric was the radio voice for the Dallas Blackhawks hockey team and the Dallas Diamond women's basketball team. Eric was part of the radio and television broadcasts for the Rangers until 1981 and then teamed with the late Mark Holtz for the next 13 years on the Rangers Radio Network. In 1995, Eric became the lead voice for the club.
Eric also produces a special feature called "Page From Baseball's Past" that can be heard at 8:45 a.m. and kicking off the game broadcasts during the Rangers season. Along with his radio and television work, Eric has written several books including "Texas Rangers: The Authorized History." In the off season Eric sometimes can be found calling games in Latin America, as he has taught himself to speak fluent Spanish.
Eric was elected to the Texas Baseball Hall of Fame in 1991 and resides in Dallas with this wife, Jeannie, and their dog, Nemo.
Dave Barnett (born April 27, 1958 in Denton, Texas) is an American basketball, football, and baseball sportscaster who has served as the announcer for the NBA's San Antonio Spurs from 1988 to 1996 and the Dallas Mavericks from 1981 to 1988. He also broadcasted Texas Rangers games in 1990. He will continue broadcasting duties with the Rangers beginning in 2009, serving as a radio broadcaster and also occasional television play-by-play commentary. He also does play-by-play for Chicago Bears preseason games. Barnett is a 1978 graduate of the North Texas University.
